I think for a water to be called "mineral water" it has to have a certain proportion of minerals (in the US >250 ppm dissolved solids). ![]() Or, they come from a tap and some enterprising bottler slaps a label on the container and some dissolved minerals into the mix. Mineral water is like regular water, but with extra minerals (dissolved salts and sulphur compounds, typically) in it. All the water you drink there has trace amounts of minerals dissolved in the H20- from wherever the water came from. All water is made of Hydrogen and Oxygen in a 2:1 ratio, hence H20. ![]() ![]() It comes out of the ground from wells, or from reservoirs.
